Turning plastic waste into creative possibilities through art, experimentation and youth collaboration.

Through youth-led creative labs, hands-on workshops and collaborative art projects, we challenge the idea of waste, explore sustainable practices and give everyday plastic an unexpected second life.

PLASTY is an Erasmus+ project connecting young people, artists and creative communities across four countries:

Selected participants will have access to creative workshops and artistic support at Art Center Caravel from January to April 2027.

Mar de Experiências: Plastic, Craft and the Stories Washed Ashore

A faded bucket, a broken basket, a piece of plastic decades old. On Portugal’s beaches, Teresa Azevedo and Bruno Costa, the artists behind Mar de Experiências, find materials with stories still to tell. Their project grew from a love of coastal life — its fishing traditions, people and memories.
