About the event

From Personal Story to Social Awareness: Supporting Migrant Children Through Art-Based Critical Thinking

This warm, practice-oriented workshop is designed for educators, youth workers, and community practitioners who want to better support migrant children and families through creative and reflective methods. We focus on how personal stories can become a starting point for empathy, critical thinking, and inclusive action.

During the session, participants work in small groups with real-life inspired scenarios — identity conflict, discrimination, misinformation, social exclusion, or belonging challenges. Through art-based and visual tools, they develop simple, adaptable exercises and visual narratives that can be used in classrooms and community spaces.

Why do we run this workshop?

Because stories change understanding — and creative methods help difficult topics become discussable, visible, and human. Art offers children safe ways to express complexity, ask questions, and build voice. Professionals need practical tools to guide this process with care and confidence.
