One Portuguese Crafter. Ten Days. One European Adventure.

The third round of Craftwork4.0All Mobilities is now open—and this time, one emerging craft professional from Portugal will have the opportunity to take their practice abroad in 2027.
Yes, only one. So if this sounds like your kind of adventure, do not leave the application until the final five minutes. We know how that story usually ends.

What is the mobility?
The selected Portuguese craft professional will spend 10 days in another country, learning, exchanging techniques and co-creating a new craft piece with a European host organisation.
The mobility can take place between 1 November 2026 and 31 October 2027. Before applying, make sure you can genuinely dedicate ten full days to an intensive international creative experience.
The programme provides financial support for:
Travel;
Accommodation;
Daily subsistence and meals.
How to apply from Portugal
First, explore the available host organisations and choose the place that best matches your practice, interests and proposed collaboration:
Then complete the application form:
In the form, applicants from Portugal should indicate:
Sending Organisation: ARTE.M – Associação Artística e Cultural da Madeira
What makes a strong application?
The selection will not be easy. Your proposal should present a clear and realistic idea for co-creation, demonstrate benefits for everyone involved and, whenever possible, include sustainability, responsible use of materials or circular craft practices.
Tell us not only what you make, but also what you would like to learn, what you can share and what could be created through this international encounter.
We are here to help

Do you have questions about the host organisations, your idea or the application process? Write to us. ARTE.M is ready to guide Portuguese applicants through the first steps.
Following the selection, we will work together with the chosen craft professional throughout the matching, preparation and final application process.
⏳ Application deadline: 31 October 2026 at 10:00 CET
